The mental, emotional and physical benefits of sound healing

Sound Healing is becoming more and more popular due to the immediate impact a person feels during a session. Within seconds, a person receiving a sound healing treatment, they can feel a positive impact. Sounds create vibrational waves that connect with and work through the entire body, impacting at the cellular and muscular level.

Studies are now showing that sound could stimulate touch fibers that affect pain perception. Sound healing treatment has been shown to help people with pain from arthritis, menstrual pain, postoperative pain, knee replacement pain. Sound healing treatment has even been found to improve mobility, reduce muscle pain and stiffness, increase blood circulation, and lower blood pressure.

There are also studies showing the positive impact sound has in to connect with certain frequencies and synchronize a person’s brainwaves, for example slowing down the brainwave to bring about focus and clarity.

One of the reasons I use Sound healing on myself and my clients is the direct impact it has on calming the nervous system and immediately reducing overactive stress hormones. Once the nervous system is calm, the entire body follows and begins the regeneration process.
